The regenerator of the hot blast stove is full of the space of the fire-resistant ball, and the convenient surface of the fire-resistant ball is the heating surface of the regenerator, in which the fire-resistant ball is the medium for storing heat, so the fire-resistant ball loaded in the regenerator requires not only fast heat transfer but also more heat storage, as well as the highest temperature and water level. Fireball resistance is mainly affected by the following factors in the regenerator.
1. The refractory ball is affected by high temperature from 1000 ℃ to 1350 ℃;
2. The effect of temperature change in the process of air heat exchange;
3. Chemical erosion of dust brought by blast furnace gas;
4. The scour effect of combustion gas;
5. Mechanical load rejection.
The general requirements of fire-resistant ball for hot blast stove are: small creep rate, large heat capacity and good high temperature strength.
